Maybelline Colorsensational Matte Lipstick - Nude Nuance (Updated)

Hey, it's me again! Before I begin my second post, another lippie review, here's why I'm starting my own beauty blog. 

 Ever since I can remember, I wanted to write. But I was overly conscious about what others thought of me. Here, I have my own space and voice - idgaf anymore what anyone says, as long as I express myself fully. I'm still not sure what my Magnum Opus will be (like JK Rowling's Harry Potter). In the meantime, I'm writing about two topics I feel passionate about: travel and beauty. I'm currently a travel copywriter and editor by day, and a beauty blogger by night. I'd like to be real and to create content that I'm proud of. My goal here isn't perfection anyway - I wanna be more personal. And I wanna be myself. I think I have a lot to say about beauty and I'd give you my honest opinion. 💋

Okay okay, getting back to the lipstick. Here's some product shots and swatches:

 Bare lips 



Pardon the dim lighting (and oily nose) 'cos I tend to take pics after work. This is a pinkish-mauve shade that suits medium to light skin tones. And this is sortof MLBB (My Lips But Better)! I'm not sure about the skin tones deeper than mine - you might want to pick a deeper nude. This might look more like a pale pink on darker skin. This is supposedly a cool dupe for MAC Whirl. I have to agree it has the same, pleasant feel as my MAC satin lippies. It has a powdery, matte texture. It also makes my lips feel smooth, as if I have lip balm on, which is great 'cause I always forget this step. 

Also, this is the type of nude that doesn't need heavy eye makeup for contrast. I only applied light foundation, eyebrow pencil, and this lippie. I don't really have the time to apply a full face of makeup to work everyday. This completes my office "no makeup" makeup look. Plus, I'm enjoying its vanilla scent. Yum! I bought this for 190 PhP from the recent Lazada PH Lipstick sale. It's a steal!

The packaging feels flimsy though, like plastic Barbie makeup. The cover feels like I can break it easily when I drop it. Still, it's the beauty inside that matters.

Verdict: 4/5 Donuts 

Get it while it's hot (on sale). I'm super fickle when it comes to picking shades, 
just so you know. The Touch of Spice shade tempted me too. I'm a happy pastry with this purchase. Tune in next time for other makeup reviews!

NYX Lip Lingerie - Embellishment

#SweetLippies Hello ! It's my first beauty review. I've always longed to start my own beauty blog,  yada yada yada, long backstory. I 'll save it for the next post. As a lippie addict, I thought it'd be great to start with my most recent purchase,  NYX Lip Lingerie in the shade, Embellishment.  Here's some product shots and swatches: Already in love with the color This is a donut beauty blog, might as well make a donut swatch! ABBAmart Concealer In Medium

#SweetCoverage  For the first time, I'll be reviewing a non-lippie product. Behold, a cheap concealer I got from Althea, ABBAmart in the shade, medium! Actually there were only 2 shades. One was light and one was...well, medium. I tend to pick the darkest shade when it comes to Korean products. They have really pale colors for foundation and concealer, since I guess most of Korean women I've seen or met seem to be very fair.  How cute is this packaging?
